Action in Florida!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6

A lot of thinks happened in our first week in the US. The journey was exhausting, especially for the kids. At the end, they could barely stand on their feet and we survived it only with the help of fellow passengers. At the end a police officer helped us with carrying the bags. We are thankful for the people who helped us.

At the destination airport we were picked up after 1 hour by our new friends. We only knew them by a short phone call about 2 days before. How awesome is this, they borrowed us a vehicle for the first week, they didn’t know us at all.

When summing up the costs for our training in the US, we didn’t plan having a car. However, we can say with joy that the Lord is caring wonderfully for us. There is a christian church in Pennsylvania ( whose service it is to provide vehicles to missionaries during their stay in the US. As all their vans are currently in use, God provided them with the necessary funds, to buy another car for us and then they delivered it to us. And thats not all, they also invited us for dinner. It is so great to see how the Lord provides for us. Every time we step into the car we have to smile in gratitude.

On our first day Christoph had his appointment with the flight doctor and then flight training began. Everything went well in the beginning, but after 2 days his flight permission was withdrawn, because the TSA (Transport Security Authority) still needed documents. The processing took about 3 days during which he could not continue with his flight training. In retrospect, Gods timing was perfect as always, due to the rejection Christoph was able to complete the written commercial and instrument flight exams. Yeah!

Nina is out with the kids everyday, regardless of the heat. There is a large playground nearby and if the car is available, it is only a few minutes drive to the beach. It is not always easy in this unfamiliar environment and alone with the kids, especially in these hot temperatures, but Nina is doing a great job 🙂

See you soon!
