“It is the LORD’s blessing that makes a person rich, and hard work adds nothing to it.”
A new week starts and suddenly it’s Friday again. It’s good that the training proceeds, but it’s unbelievable how fast time passes.
Christoph has already been able to complete a few exams. It is essential that pilots in remote areas are able to maintain their own airplanes. Therefore, it is very important to gather as much experience as possible in order to be able to work independently and safely later on.
Nina and the children have already made new friends and feel integrated. Tobias and Elia visit the preschool and they like it very much. They can already understand a lot of english, but they’re still too shy to speak.
We are already looking forward to the next steps after the training, even though most of our future is still uncertain. For us it is still a great challenge to be away from home, in the US and we don’t really know what’s coming next. But we know that God will take care of us and so it is a good and relieving feeling to be completely dependent on him. So far, he has provided for us. To experience God’s miracles, you have to create the opportunities and trust in Him.
A few days ago we talked to our Missionary Air Group about the next steps. An interesting opportunity would be after the mechanic training to go to Guatemala City for 1 year. Christoph would work in a mission hangar and gain good experience. They have a Cessna 206 which is the same aircraft that we might use later. We could refresh our Spanish skills and help to start a new project in northern Guatemala. Honduras might also be an opportunity. But there is still much to clarify and who knows, maybe in a few months everything will be different. The way is unclear but the goal is the same: help people in need and proclaim the gospel.
Our preparation and later work is only carried by donations and own resources. We recently partnered with an Austrian missionary organisation “Hilfe die Ankommt/Help that Arrives”. This makes donations tax deductible(at the moment only in Austria, Germany and Switzerland). If you have it on your heart, we would be glad to receive your financial support to make our service possible.
Thank you for your support in prayer, financially or by encouraging words.
